Quarantine Activities: A List of Productive & Fun
Well, we’ve been quarantined for about two weeks now, and we’re all a little on edge because after cleaning your house and baking cookies, we’re running out of ideas. Fear not! I’ve compiled a fun list of 30 quarantine activities you can do while you’re stuck at home. Let’s go!
Workout- Working out is both productive and fun. Visit my Pinterest page for some fun at-home workout ideas.
Go for a walk- You may be stuck inside, you’re never prohibited from leaving the house to go for a walk or run and enjoy the fresh air and the world around you.
Design an indoor scavenger hunt for your partner or kids- Visit my Pinterest page for some fun ideas on how to do this. Everyone needs a little magic and fun in their life, this is exactly the way to do it.
Indoor carnival/games- From laundry basket skee ball to balloon tennis, there’s plenty of fun games you can play inside. Don’t worry, I had fun playing these too, it’s not just for kids. Here are some fun ideas.
Build a fort- Once again, whether you’re stuck at home with your partner or stuck inside with your kids, building a fort is sure to spice up the time inside. Click here for some fun ideas, or design your own fort, because I know you’ve got a great imagination.
Take a bath- Not because you stink, don’t worry, I don’t judge. Baths can be extremely calming and a great way to spend some time away from anyone you’re quarantined with. Click here for some DIY bath bombs.
Movie Marathon- Whether it’s Harry Potter, every single Marvel movie ever made, The Hunger Games trilogy, or tons of rom-coms, a movie marathon is a fun way to relax and re-watch those classics you love.
Karaoke- The best part about this is that there’s no one to judge you from the comfort of your own home, except maybe your doggo, kitty, or fish.
Build an “Everything But the Kitchen Skin” ice cream sundae- I don’t think I need to explain this one, but if you’re looking for topping ideas, click on over here.
Read a book- There are tons of great books out there, but Good Housekeeping narrows it down to 35 of the best books of 2020. See they’re list here.
Spring cleaning- Maybe you’ve already cleaned your house, but it couldn’t hurt to do it again right? Click here for some good ideas to split up the work between you and your quarantine crew and make it fun!
Give your pups a bath- Well it might not be something fun to do for them… or even for you now that I think about it, but just think about how nice your pups will smell after they’re all fresh and clean. Click here for some tips and tricks to make bath time a little easier.
Indoor mini-golf- Now, I don’t expect you to have a putter around for this one. Indoor mini-golf is a fun way to keep the kiddos or you and your partner entertained. All you need is a cardboard box, a paper towel cardboard roll, and some tape. Intrigued? Click here for more details.
Bake a dessert you really want, and eat it- Oh girl, I’ve got you on this one. There’s no shortage of dessert pins on my Pinterest. Click the one you like and make it! #TreatYoSelf
Write a script and make a fun family movie- Have some fun with this one! Come up with a story and write a script, hold some casting auditions, and film a family home movie.
Do your taxes- Ugh… what? Why is this one on here? Oh yeah, because we’re home and we never have time to do our taxes, but we might as well because we’re just sitting at home.
Do a DIY facemask- I’ve totally got you covered on this one. Visit my recent blog about DIY facemasks you can do at home here.
Crafts- Crafts are always fun, especially when they’re productive, so I’ve put together a Pinterest board with both fun and functional crafts. You can thank me later.
Play a game of cards- This is an easy one especially if you already have so many fun card games to play. If you’re unsure of some good ones, “Go Fish” is always a classic.
Get dressed up and make yourself a fancy dinner- Make yourself a nice dinner, set the table, and get dressed up. Now, go enjoy your dinner as if you’re going out for a date.
Learn a new dance- Have you been looking to learn something new? Learn a new dance. YouTube any dance you want to learn and take it at your own pace.
Do a virtual happy hour with your friends- Zoom is offering free 40-minute video chats. Just because you can’t be together, doesn’t mean you can’t connect. Set-up a Zoom account, pop some bottles, set out some cheese and crackers, and get to connecting.
Play some trivia- Play some trivia games with your smart home speaker or look up some trivia online. It’s an easy and fun way to prove you’re smarter than your partner 😉
Organize your closet- Wahoo! This is a good one. If you’ve been putting this off, now is the time. Plus, you’re going to definitely find that sweater you couldn’t find a month ago. The clothes, shoes, and accessories you don’t want to keep, you can sell on Poshmark and make some money. Yay!
Organize your pantry- Once again, if you’ve been putting this off, now is the time to get this done. Finally, get rid of that expired cereal. No judgment here.
Try a new makeup routine- Try a new makeup routine and tag me on Facebook or Instagram. I would love to see what you come up with!
Paint your nails- Because, why not? Let’s face it, you never have time to paint your nails and let them dry, but now you do, and you can even use the good nail polish.
Give your partner a massage- You’re both a little stressed, so why not de-stress together. Get out some essential oils and pamper your partner.
Make DIY dog treats- This is a fun one and your puppers will thank you too! Visit my Pinterest for some DIY dog treats.
Rearrange your space- You’ve been wanting to rearrange for a while now, so why not do it today. Here are some tips on rearranging for the feng shui.
I hope these quarantine activities help keep you entertained during this quarantine and know that I am always here for you. Just because we cannot meet, doesn’t mean you can’t reach out. I look forward to connecting with you and hearing how much fun you had with these ideas. Tag me on Facebook or Instagram if you try them. I can’t wait to see what you come up with.
XOXO,
